America First Customer Insights

1. However, it is a little concerning when the app indicates there may be a problem, when there really isn't a problem.I enjoy the convience of the app, but am extremely frustrated with the amount of time stuff takes to update! For example my husband and I have a joint checking account and both of us are able to keep track of it on our seperate phones.

2. There has been times when we've been discussing our finances and we both go to look at the balance on our seperate phones only to find out we each have a different balance! Personally I feel that this is unexceptable! Besides that issue the app works wonderfully!I have had this app for years now with little to no issue.

3. No change.This app has made amazing strides in the last year and a half! I gave it two stars back then but hats off to America first for making the improvements that the app needed and listening to the customers.

4. I would recommend this app to friends and family it works flawlessly I've had no issues with it in over a year and it has some amazing features to boot!!Really good mobile banking app.

5. The UI is a lot clearer than it was, the addition of dark mode looks really pleasing and the different ways to track finances is really helpful when you are doing taxes.

6. It doesnt show bank statements, and only gives me 3 accounts to view at a time.

7. I love that the interface is very user friendly, buttons are perfectly sized for even my phone, which has a smaller screen than most.

8. I'd like to see a card lock more front and center in case of emergencies.I used to love the AFCU app.

9. Now it's delayed by a week from real time and even when I re-sync the specific account, it still lags and won't update correctly.

10. This is definitely very handy for keeping track of money on the go, or making transfers last second.

11. I'll enter my password and it'll tell me it's incorrect but I can go onto the AFCU website and type in the exact same credentials and it'll log me in just fine.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix America First Issues

1. Fix America First Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart America First: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the America First App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "America First" » Open America First Mobile Banking » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for America First » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear America First Mobile Banking app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from America First servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "America First Mobile Banking" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check America First app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, America First might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall America First. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall America First then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing America First not working


2. Fix America First Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make America First be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to America First not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, America First may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
