Green Dot Customer Insights

1. I can't link it to use it with my investing apps, can't transfer money from the card (only if it's going to another green dot account) you get some cash back on online purchases but that's the only real feature.

2. However, the site's is much more robust, the AI bot is good guidance, & customer service is excellent.Can load your card at Walmart customer service for free if you pull up screen and get a bar code.

3. Monthly fees and 2% cash back bonus may not impress some, but this is a dependable card.This app allows you the experience of having a "regular" bank account.

4. Every few weeks I have to uninstall it and reinstall due to it not allowing me to sign-in, change in app features, move money to vault or out of vault and it comes up with a notice that the time on my phone doesn't match the time on the app.

5. If you need/want an online checking account & debit card, I like this one over many others.

6. Walmart is the only company I know of that can deposit not only cash, but also from another debit card.

7. One time payments are different.I have been using the app for six months and faced no major issues.

8. I'm ready to change to another card.Great, reliable, intuitive.

9. Used many other prepaid cards and apps before and I'd get the notification literally while I was still collecting my bagged items in line.

    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Green Dot - Mobile Banking" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Green Dot app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Green Dot might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Green Dot. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Green Dot then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Green Dot not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Green Dot be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Green Dot not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Green Dot may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
