1. I suggest using some of that Goldman Sachs money and hiring developers to fix this, not the one's who wrote it.Shady practices, high interest rates, they want complete and total access to your mobile device and don't allow you to use the app if you don't give it to them.

2. Absolutely no reason to give some loan sharks complete and total access to your mobile device.Guessing that something they did in a recent update causes the app to force close and restart on an endless loop, rendering it wholly useless.

3. Probably done on purpose to make customers frustrated and annoyed while trying to make payments.I'm a merchant and haven't been able to install app for over a week.

4. Can't open it up or even get to the screen to put in username and pword without activating location services.Horrible. To log on, the app ask for a PIN, not a password.

5. Sent captured screen video of the behavior to GreenSky.

6. Suggested I buy an upgraded phone! Even though multiple team members with different phones are experiencing the same issue.

7. If you click the "not a merchant" link then it just pulls up an internet tab and continues to the website.

8. Customer service says we've never heard of the White Screen flashing repeatedly problem.

9. ETA: How about that? The email I sent to GreenSky at the listed address bounced.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix GreenSky Merchant Issues

1. Fix GreenSky Merchant Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart GreenSky Merchant: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the GreenSky Merchant App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "GreenSky Merchant" » Open GreenSky Merchant » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for GreenSky Merchant » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear GreenSky Merchant app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from GreenSky Merchant servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "GreenSky Merchant" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check GreenSky Merchant app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, GreenSky Merchant might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall GreenSky Merchant. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall GreenSky Merchant then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing GreenSky Merchant not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make GreenSky Merchant be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
