Anchor Customer Insights

1. I know that the team may be overwhelmed currently with new people getting into crypto and others transferring over from other apps, but not being able to move my investments around at least somewhat freely has been extremely frustrating.

2. To be fair the team has been generally responsive when I notify them of what is going on and they were able to resolve my initial ethereum transfer issue, but it just seems like when one thing is fixed another issue crops up.

3. However, now it has been over seven days that Anchor team are not being able to help me reset my password! Which I even doubt that my password is incorrect, rather my account got locked somehow.

4. Up to about a week, I started to transfer my crypto to a different location and was able to transfer some but then went to do more and they never transferred, now up to today can't log in to my account due to a network error, so essentially locked out from my crypto.

5. They have to pay the bills of course, but I prefer upfront fees.I have been using anchor for the past almost two years now and had a great experience with it, easy to use and understand and was fast for me.

6. hopefully that is added in the near future!Horrible experience! I have had issues with this platform before too, transaction getting stuck for more than a few days and had to cancel them which resulted on losing money as the value goes up and down as we all know.

7. Hopefully Anchor is able to fix the issue.Using this app at first seemed great, that was between of April and the end of May of this year.

8. All of that said, there was a time when this was a great experience and I'd love to see the team fix some of these issues and get it back up to that five star experience.

10. I have had issues transferring anything on the ethereum network, and have run into limits on transferring Cardano even though my account is level 3 verified.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Anchor Issues

1. Fix Anchor Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Anchor: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Anchor App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Anchor" » Open Anchor - Buy Bitcoin and Ether » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Anchor » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Anchor - Buy Bitcoin and Ether app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Anchor servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Anchor - Buy Bitcoin and Ether" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Anchor app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Anchor might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Anchor. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Anchor then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Anchor not working


2. Fix Anchor Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Anchor be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Anchor not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Anchor may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
