1. I tried to edit my profile and add my zipcode, but I get an error when I try to save.I have never left a negative review before, BUT, unfortunately like some other's before me, after I entered the demographic data and pressed enter it just says something went wrong.

10. I should get the stars for trying it.The temperature starts at 97, mine is 96.3. After I put it in as 97, I kept getting notices to input my temperature.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix COVID Control Issues

1. Fix COVID Control Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart COVID Control: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the COVID Control App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "COVID Control" » Open COVID Control - A Johns Hopkins University Study » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for COVID Control » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear COVID Control - A Johns Hopkins University Study app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from COVID Control servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "COVID Control - A Johns Hopkins University Study" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check COVID Control app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, COVID Control might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall COVID Control. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall COVID Control then reinstall.
