COVID19 Customer Insights

1. Entering a DOB is an absolute nightmare!! Had to scroll through pages and pages to get to the year I was born..took AGES!! Then when I save the page information noticed that the DOB reverted to today's date!! Then later kept getting pop-ups and error messages.

2. How can this app be mandatory and used to access Covid results when it doesn't work?Like every one else, I get an error there is missing items and can not sign up.

3. The first page asks for a mobile number, but doesn't take into account that different countries have different number lengths.

4. Needed for an upcoming trip, but it won't let me get beyond the first sign up form, stating "missing items" (the same problem all the other reviews have).

5. Had to uninstall just to get rid of the pop-ups and error messages.It's not letting me save my personal info on the app, no matter how many times I enter the details or uninstall and re-install the app.

6. Surely it must be possible to use the app without giving access to camera, microphone, calendar, WIFi setup, media files and bluetooth information etc.

7. Also, the date option in the app doesn't work properly.

8. If you can overcome this, the second page wants an ID or Passport number, again, not considering the differences between countries.

9. It fails to retain saved information and does not allow user to go back a page for edits without starting over.

10. First of all when you went to your birthdate in it displays a different date.

11. If this is a mandatory app for entry, I'm not sure how I'll enter UAE since it's just not working.Asks for way too many permissions unnecessarily.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix COVID19 Issues

1. Fix COVID19 Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart COVID19: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the COVID19 App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "COVID19" » Open COVID19 - DXB Smart App » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for COVID19 » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear COVID19 - DXB Smart App app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from COVID19 servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "COVID19 - DXB Smart App" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check COVID19 app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, COVID19 might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall COVID19. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall COVID19 then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing COVID19 not working


2. Fix COVID19 Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make COVID19 be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to COVID19 not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, COVID19 may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • It is not possible to register the C19DXBSmart App. It is indicatedthat ther ist a "Invalid request Missing iten". Probably my handy number is not accepted. What can I do to get registered?
