Abridge Customer Insights

1. I have recommended this app to all my doctors.Really wanted to like this, but it had some bugs I love this idea! As someone with chronic illnesses, and bad working memory, I wish I had something like this years ago! But 90% of the time I had this up on my phone, it said I wasn't connected to the internet.

2. It has paused itself multiple times unexpectedly, there are gaps in the conversations for some reason (this makes the audio unusable for my needs as it looks edited), I can't share the audio itself (or snippets) as an mp3, and other people can't listen or view unless they have Abridge accountsThis app makes medical appointments much less stressful.

3. Opening the message, it gives me a picture of an envelope (non-clickable)...useless. This app should be able to print the transcript or save the recording to an mp3 file.

4. This is great! My husband is Deaf and can now use this and I can interpret what the doctor said when he gets home! BTW I downloaded this on his phone and he didn't get the code.

5. I was having issues with the phone number for recording calls and they got back to me really quickly, then emailed me again to let me know that the issue had been fixed.

6. Too many glitches when your ready to record & have it all set up a pressed button ~ it wasn't difficult, I haven't really had any notifications? When opened I do not like the fact adds pop up and you have to close it out! It will not let you just press a button to use.

7. My only disappointment is I tried to record a conversation with my doctor on the phone.

9. Hopefully I'm just missing something.After a rather lengthy and complicated conversation with my electrophisiologist, it was extremely valuable to be able to go home and digest all he had to say, and even hear parts I had forgotten already.

10. Trying on my iPad next.This app is a game 👏changer 👏 i have anxiety that leads me to ramble a lot and absorb little so the transcribings are amazing and help me remember what was discussed.

11. I "shared" a recording and transcript to my 2nd email address (it would not allow me to send to my "registered" email).

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Abridge Issues

1. Fix Abridge Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Abridge: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Abridge App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Abridge" » Open Abridge for Patients » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Abridge » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Abridge for Patients app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Abridge servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Abridge for Patients" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Abridge app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Abridge might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Abridge. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Abridge then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Abridge not working


2. Fix Abridge Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Abridge be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Abridge not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Abridge may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
