1. It apparently doesn't have my driver's license information stored because when I try to log in using my driver's license, it can never find me and says it's not a valid way to log in even though I've been a part of the Drive Safe & Save program for years.
2. Also, events recorded don't make sense, and the average score doesn't make sense from the driving records listed either.I wouldn't use it if not for the discount.
3. I've made a couple of contacts to my agent and to tech service about the discount and getting settings right on my phone and I still get messages that the settings on my phone aren't correct.
4. I click on "fix this now", but that just takes me to the app settings, but no clue what is wrong.I have been critical of the braking portion of this app in the past, and after several years of experience, I have realized a more serious issue.
5. I know i can go in and say that someone else was driving, but if I'm supposedly interacting with my phone the entire trip, want that obvious? I have the app set up to open whenever I drive, but it constantly tells me trips aren't recording.
6. And, if you are a regular user of Waze or similar apps to help you navigate directions and avoid traffic, you will be marked down for using a cell phone while driving.
7. The experience has been disappointing and irritating.The discount is great, but the Drive Safe device/app is completely subjective.
8. The braking segment doesn't take into account the real-world no quick stops to avoid issues.Man, so far the app doesn't actually recognize what hard braking is.
9. Getting a low score for braking as one pulls into a very short left hand turn lane is ridiculous.
10. Login should be automatic, based on phone number, since nobody else has the same number.The app doesn't notify you, but you have to update your odometer every so often or you get dropped from the program.
11. Having to deal with password reset or recovery every time I drive, isn't worth the discount.
