Acorns Customer Insights

1. I haven't bothered to relink my credit card or bank info because it asks for it each and every time.The app is decent, however, you're prompted to invite a friend, add an additional service, or add more money into Acorns every time you open the app which is annoying and for someone who has a significant amount, ridiculous to have to deal with.

2. Set a comfortable amount and forget it's there until time comes!Love the app, been using it since highschool as a nice little side piggy bank and it's helped me save money surprisingly well.

3. My account has been closed and I will try one more time starting fresh.

4. I just want to look at my account status and every time I return to the home account page the advertisement pops up.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Acorns Issues

1. Fix Acorns Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Acorns: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Acorns App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Acorns" » Open Acorns: Save & Invest » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Acorns » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Acorns: Save & Invest app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Acorns servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Acorns: Save & Invest" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Acorns app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Acorns might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Acorns. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Acorns then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Acorns not working


2. Fix Acorns Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Acorns be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Acorns not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Acorns may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
