1. I had multiple instances of Steer Clear recording false "events" (35 "hard breaking events" in a half mile, one after another; it was literally a straight line), and many of my 20+ minute drives were not recorded due to the app seemingly closing after several minutes on it's own (I can't confirm that was the cause as I wasn't looking at my phone while driving, but I saw no other contributing factors).

2. I never mess with my phone when I'm driving or have any other apps open so I'm not sure what the problem is.There are some problems with how the app tracks your acceleration, braking, and cornering.

3. One issue is that I have received acceleration alerts for picking up/putting down my phone when I was trying to start/stop recording the drive.

4. Then when i'm done I grab my phone to stop recording the drive and it says it's been recording for mere seconds and it won't be counted because it's less than a mile.

5. It'll say I have an acceleration event when I go from stopped to driving even if I go very slow, and hard breaking when I'm simple easing into a stop.

6. There have been a few drives it didnt track as well.The videos are great and very helpful, especially if it's been a while since you've taken Driver's Ed! They're full of great information that's easy to understand.

7. I clicked end drive, and it said "Oops! Couldn't process your drive because it was less than one mile." ????? It keeps doing this.I keep running into the same bug.

8. "Submit a help request" and "give us feedback" options don't work, I tried going to them multiple times just for them to change color for a second then nothing happens.So many issues with this app it would be hard to fit it into one review.

11. Edit: I bumped my review up a lot because I actually hadn't been using this right! The tracker is inaccurate if you don't allow the app to access your location constantly, so when I let it access it constantly, it was totally fine.

1. Fix Steer Clear Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Steer Clear: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Steer Clear App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Steer Clear" » Open Steer Clear » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Steer Clear » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Steer Clear app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Steer Clear servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Steer Clear" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Steer Clear app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Steer Clear might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Steer Clear. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Steer Clear then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Steer Clear not working

2. Fix Steer Clear Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Steer Clear be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Steer Clear not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Steer Clear may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
