2. T-Mobile Direct Connect services should be added onto your T-Mobile lines of service before attempting to activate the application.

3. The T-Mobile® Direct Connect® app brings push-to-talk (PTT) communications to Apple smartphones and iPads.

4. Please make sure to turn on and allow location/GPS, access to contacts, and push notifications.

5. Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

T- Customer Insights

1. Total waste of time.......After allowing tons of permissions, it says I need a subscription 😭 Can't use...This app is complete garbage! like everything else T-Mobile touches it has turned to complete garbage! It had worked flawlessly for years under Sprint now with T-Mobile you have to uninstall reinstall error message won't work can't communicate nothing but garbage and customer care can't help! Two hours with customer service and they are as useless as can possibly be! Everybody at T-Mobile is completely incompetent and should not be in charge of a lemonade stand let alone a Communication Company!Disappointed that I need to constantly uninstall and reinstall the app to make it work.

2. Works just like a walkie talkie! Love it!Excellent overall experience- great for team communication and quick info.I don't even use this app and yet it still manages to pop up and give issues while I'm using other apps.Sucks. Must have a subscription.

3. I have a cat phone that is geared towards this program.Some information should be provided, is this only a sprint app? What phones are compatible? Appears to require a subscription but I get an error trying it.

4. I think these kinds of apps are useless, but I don't think apps should be installed on anyone's phone unless they want them.

5. The only time it doesn't is when it has been sitting in my recent apps because I didn't swipe out of it yet.

6. Is this only for business accounts? Lazy app developers please do your job.Easy Clear Communication.

7. I'm going to have to disable it through settings since Google play store won't let me uninstall it.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix T- Issues

1. Fix T- Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart T-: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the T- App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "T-" » Open T-Mobile Direct Connect » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for T- » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear T-Mobile Direct Connect app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from T- servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "T-Mobile Direct Connect" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check T- app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, T- might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall T-. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall T- then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing T- not working


2. Fix T- Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make T- be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to T- not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, T- may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
