I hope things get better considering these calls aren't free and we pay to see our love ones, so we should have a great experience using the video.It won't even let me schedule a video visit on the app I downloaded both apps and can see the video camera button but it doesn't do anything when I push it I really want to video visit with my boyfriend but apparently I don't have that optionI couldn't get it to open on my phone and I couldn't see or hear on my iPad.

2. Even then there will be an echo on your end, where you hear your own words repeated to yourself, hence the 4 of 5 star rating.T E R R I B L E !! If I could rate 0 stars, it would be a -3!! Picture quality is bad, but the MAIN ISSUE is the ECHOING!! It literally sounds like I'm standing on a mountain top screaming, and hear myself echo back 4-5 times! 😤 I can't even hear myself thinking to speak a full sentence! And thats with earbuds in! The camera on my end is very weird.. Overall, It's VERY FRUSTRATING for both ends.

3. Very disappointingIt makes no sense that I have to use headphones to hear my husband and the quality is still bad - HORRIBLE echo! To think we could be using Zoom for free & have better audio & visual drives me insane! This app constantly kicks you out with no prompts on what to do if it happens.

4. MYSELF INCLUDEDNever works was able to use it once and it never worked again I have tried6 different laptops and nothing still it never works ugh frustratingI had a great experience! I read all the reviews and thought I was gonna have a bad visit, and turns out it was perfect.

Just like everything else in the DOC it is all to mess with the prisoners minds and make contact with the outside world that much less appealing to their loved ones to want to connect because of the money and the waste of time and just being so disappointed all you want to do is see your loved one.

6. If you start your visit and only see black, but can hear the inmate, disconnect or close the app and re-open it.

7. No echo at all, sound quality was perfect, picture was just like your on a desktop pc, and I didn't use any headphones it still worked.

8. I have no idea who thought two apps would be a good idea instead of one, but this app doesn't appear to connect to the scheduling app.

9. This app simply adds the video visitation feature to the scheduling app.

10. And I can guarantee 90% of the social class that is scheduling visits does not have the money to be wasted on this kind of scam.

1. Fix GTL Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart GTL: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the GTL App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "GTL" » Open GTL - Internet Visits (2 of 2) » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for GTL » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear GTL - Internet Visits (2 of 2) app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from GTL servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "GTL - Internet Visits (2 of 2)" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check GTL app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, GTL might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall GTL. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall GTL then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing GTL not working

2. Fix GTL Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make GTL be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to GTL not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, GTL may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
