Why should I report an Issue with GTL - Schedule Visits (1 of 2)?

1. Please be aware that in order to fully utilize video visitation on your Android device, you will need to download the following two apps: 'GTL - Schedule Visits (1 of 2)' and 'GTL - Internet Visits (2 of 2)' from the Android App Store.

2. This app lets you sign up and plan visits with people you care about at participating facilities using an Android device.

3. You can also cancel planned visits and update your account info.

4. Ensure your device settings for the app allow permission for your camera and microphone.

1. Once we were finally able to have our visit the sound was messed up and the video does not line up with the camera! You have to sit awkwardly twisting your wrist to be seen and then you are still at an odd angle on the screen! I don't even have enough space to make all of the complaint!I signed up to speak to someone incarcerated and kept putting money in it.

2. I will definitely make sure if i ever get in an car accident i will never ever use them.Let me start over..After multiple attempts, I was finally able to visit my husband! Except for 2 problems...I couldn't see him and the headphones did not stop the echoes! The entire screen was black the whole time!! I didn't want to close out the app and go back because I didn't want the visit to end.

3. I was able to see the time before the visit at the bottom then I was directed to the page where I were directed to hit "Start Video".

4. Get better updates so people can actually talk to their loved ones without any issues! It's frustrating.This app suck I have been trying to register but it said that my email address is already being used .It said to change my password ,so it gave me an temporary password but didn't give me the option to created my own.

5. We tried to do a video visit and it lasted probably 2 minutes then the screen froze.

6. He said that he could see me so I'm going to try this 1 last timeAt the beginning of my visit, the video was not audible, I made some adjustments, then the video appeared with my friend on the other end.

7. This app needs alot of improvements! To pay for every visit to only have connection issues, the frame freezing, and the sound hard of hearing unless you have a Bluetooth speaker is ridiculous.

8. I got to see a couple of still frames, as the video was frozen and I got to hear a total of about four words for the whole 20 minute phone call.

9. We spend more time trying to fix our video than actual conversation! I wish the IDOC could find a better app to be used.

10. I tried reentering the visit several times but it didn't make a difference.

11. I just tried re downloading it after a week and it's still ALL BAD! I'm frustrated and this is dumb and a waste of time.

1. Fix GTL Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart GTL: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the GTL App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "GTL" » Open GTL - Schedule Visits (1 of 2) » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for GTL » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear GTL - Schedule Visits (1 of 2) app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from GTL servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "GTL - Schedule Visits (1 of 2)" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check GTL app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, GTL might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall GTL. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall GTL then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing GTL not working

2. Fix GTL Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make GTL be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to GTL not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, GTL may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
