1. That is not true from my experience with VOIP/SIP providers that I have used.Seems to be a paid for app?? pretending to be free? Subscription? Can't get it to work to test without allowing payment, not happeningI am evaluating Bria VOIP for our company.

2. Also, I work from home with reliable internet connection, yet too often I am notified by my work that I have missed a call, but the app did not ring even if I have the app open.When Bria first came out with push, it worked really well.

4. Sigh, time to find a new soft phone, but i am just one customer so my issues are not important.Consistently drops calls and often poor audio quality.

5. Had to start using my personal cell to call clients back which I absolutely hate to do.Does not support SMS attachments (MMS) - took a while to notice as they downplay it.

6. The product does not stay connected to the server in background and the push application simply does not work, no matter which way you set it up.

7. However, It is frustrating that when you select to call record, it omits a large beeping noise for the person on the other end and still happens if you select to record every call in the settings.

9. The only way that I have found till now, is to go to the status bar of the Android Phone (Samsung Note 8) and pick up the call there.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Bria Issues

1. Fix Bria Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Bria: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Bria App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Bria" » Open Bria Mobile: VoIP Softphone » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Bria » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Bria Mobile: VoIP Softphone app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Bria servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Bria Mobile: VoIP Softphone" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Bria app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Bria might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Bria. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Bria then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Bria not working


2. Fix Bria Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Bria be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Bria not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Bria may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
