Connect2Go Customer Insights

1. Should have real-time refresh when using the app.I cannot get mobile app notifications ...I have tried re-installing but it does not ask me to allow and I have set it to allow (android phone) Must I re-link the phone or similar? If so how do I do that in contacts? Also there is no SMS notification for Vodacom (First National Bank) carrier in South Africa...any work around?Used to work really well, now is stuck on "exit delay" , and sends an email notification every 1-2 mins.

2. Time to modernise!Although this is a nice app, 2 things are important as issues: 1) After I started to use the app 3 months ago, the sending of emails has also stopped (without my consent or any action) and I was just receiving the door bell notifications and 2) As of yesterday the notifications also are stopped to be received.

3. Tried everything, not working.The primary account holder should be able to send invites to family members to create an account and then login to the phone app rather than having to share the primary account holder's username and passwords.

4. use this one more than one year and very happy !!! need some integration to Alexa or Google assistant, also need integration with nest.East to use, makes life and use very efficient.

5. I've installed many of them, & the module itself has never been a problem.. But the app most certainly has.The App is functional is about all one can say - it was last updated 3 years ago and is clearly overdue for an update, in many respects.

6. It's user used unfriendly - eg notifications can be either on or off only, whereas most Apps give one a choice to at least silence or mute notifications.

7. Also, the app should refresh every 5 secs so the person can see which zones are being activated or if the alarm is in exiting delay mode etc.

8. The only bug that I have found in the app is that when you hit "Arm," You must hit the home button, then Hit the home icon, THEN you are able to type the code in & disarm the system.

9. Could use a major UI update and would be nice to see some widgets or integration with Smart Thingslike this app.

10. Now it dont work anymore even after updating, uninstalling, removing the cellphone and re adding it.

11. Any hints to correct the above will be highly appreciated.It use to notify me on a pop notification when opening and closing.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Connect2Go Issues

1. Fix Connect2Go Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Connect2Go: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Connect2Go App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Connect2Go" » Open Connect2Go Mobile » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Connect2Go » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Connect2Go Mobile app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Connect2Go servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Connect2Go Mobile" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Connect2Go app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Connect2Go might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Connect2Go. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Connect2Go then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Connect2Go not working


2. Fix Connect2Go Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Connect2Go be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Connect2Go not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Connect2Go may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
