1. For example in the OXY stock News section, an article includes a hyperlink that redirects to a different website through my default web browser app, which is Google Chrome.

2. For options trading, before or after purchasing the option, the "chart" tab for the option should be a chart of the option's performance/price history instead of the underlying stock's price.

3. Sometimes it will load half of my watch list, or only part of a stock quote, or the news on a stock but not the level II page.

4. Some of the stock price alerts I have set have come days or weeks late which has amounted to several thousand dollars in missed profits.

8. I honestly dont know one person that likes having their eyes burned out by all of the white backgrounds, but for those of us who do not wear sunglasses to look at our phone....TD needs to add a "Dark Mode".

9. Chrome is unable to open the link because it always ontainApp is having an issue during the first time I log in each day and it has occurred 3 days in a row.

10. The app should not preopen any date of options automatically and rather let users choose which one to choose because this becomes dangerous when flipping between screens, it always defaults back to the earliest expiring options and not the options that you were looking at previously.

11. We should be able to see a record of previous trades/history with that individual stock.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix TD Ameritrade Issues

1. Fix TD Ameritrade Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart TD Ameritrade: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the TD Ameritrade App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "TD Ameritrade" » Open TD Ameritrade Mobile, LLC » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for TD Ameritrade » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear TD Ameritrade Mobile, LLC app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from TD Ameritrade servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "TD Ameritrade Mobile, LLC" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check TD Ameritrade app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, TD Ameritrade might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall TD Ameritrade. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall TD Ameritrade then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing TD Ameritrade not working


2. Fix TD Ameritrade Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make TD Ameritrade be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to TD Ameritrade not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, TD Ameritrade may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
