Citizens Bank Customer Insights

1. I can still call to do so, but it's extremely time consuming.Over all, it's okay but as a long time customer I have to say it can be frustrating for login and logoff, details of transactions are insufficient compared to other bank apps, filters in the app are limited, some bill payments are not possible in the app and need to be done online, bill payments set up seems to either be fast or slow, but it's not enough to cover the basics and not keep pace with other bank apps.

2. It's making it a hassle to use Zelle.Canceled all accounts 2 years ago, they keep trying to make an automatic payment from an account that doesn't exist anymore to an account that doesn't exist which fails and they send me an alert email every month.

3. UPDATE: Thank you for the app update! I am thrilled to have the convenience of one-stop for everything! I have 2 checking accounts and a credit card with Citizens Bank.

4. It's very difficult to see payments made unless you just scroll through all the debits even though a lot of payments are made using the bill pay set up.

5. Debits and credits are color coded and with the recent update they've added the ability to filter by time period.

6. No other financial app gives me these issues.Horrid for MOBILE banking! For somebody who only wants to do MOBILE banking they sure do make it difficult.

7. Love bill pay; It saves your utility info so all you have to do is punch in how much you want to pay each month and when.

8. Also, I choose the "preferred account" when paying bills, but it always reverts back to the other account.

9. Bad service and the app interface is bad compared to my new bank.Update: Simple interface.

10. Nothing has changed in a year! My first review was 3/22!Now the "Welcome Investors Bank" pop up gets in the way of logging in.

11. The ONE THING that I would improve, would be to add the ability to pay the credit card (through the app).

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Citizens Bank Issues

1. Fix Citizens Bank Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Citizens Bank" » Open Citizens Bank Mobile Banking » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Citizens Bank » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Citizens Bank Mobile Banking app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Citizens Bank servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Citizens Bank Mobile Banking" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Citizens Bank app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Citizens Bank might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Citizens Bank. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Citizens Bank then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Citizens Bank not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Citizens Bank be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Citizens Bank not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Citizens Bank may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
