1. I also have been diabetic for 25 years and know when something is good or bad so it feels a tad patronizing. The app has everything you need for tracking your glucose, food intake, blood pressure etc.. I have been using it for several months and find it quite thorough and easy to use.
2. It has more good features than I'm using (charts/graphs & analysis tools too) & I like being able to have my glucose data & meal/exercise data all in one app.Been using Diabetes:M for about 3 years and it is excellent.
3. Can even log meds, but I had to search a little to find where to input meds (under settings); that was my only challenge, so it still deserves 5 stars. My husband and daughter have been using this app for years and were quite happy with it.
4. But i would appreciate if they had the option to turn off "good vs bad" blood sugar indicators - while this is great for some, I personally dont care for my apps to be so judgy and lack nuance.
5. I realize that is not diabetes related but would still be helpful to many of us.I have been a type 1 diabetic for the past 30 years & I have never had good control.
6. However, this is still my favorite app and it's worth manually logging every entry.I really love the reminders and everything, the layout is great and I love being able to add extra meds.
7. It would also be nice if it pulled in exercise data from Google fit as well.I like that there's an option to set automatic reminders to eat or to test, and also when you enter a meal you can set a reminder to test a few hours from then.
8. After I went back on shots after 14 years on a pump, I was unable to find an app that could replace the convenience of my insulin pump.
9. The food databases don't seem more cumbersome than any other app's, but it's still time consuming for me so I just record my foods in a note in the log book.
10. I can also keep track of blood pressure and so many other health indicators.
11. My meter may already have a full stack of Bluetooth connections, preventing more connections being made.
