1st Advantage Customer Insights

1. I've recently encountered login issues, but have since been resolved.I love the simple easy to use design.Very secure, and super convenient!Found out that I have to go to 1st Advantage website to find out my credit card balance as it will not show up on the app! on the app it says minimum payment $0 this is a major problem that needs to be dealt with immediately it can cause a lot of people to be late on their credit cards why this hasn't been escalated as a number one priority is beyond me!Credit Card transactions no longer show in the app.

With neither available, I have no in-app way to track what I'm doing WITH my money--very frustrating.There's nothing wrong with hiccups and errors, it happens all the time with companies and with growing technology but maybe next time don't make it so close to the beginning of a new month or near the end of a month, not sure how everyone else works but those last weeks and beginning of the months are important for balancing and budgeting especially if you're the type of person to deal with it electronically.

3. And I wish there was a "digital receipt" for transactions that could be "printed" with screenshot or a copy button to securely show proof of payment/transfer/deposit.

4. Super bummed, I now have to log into the website and click a bunch of stuff to review my Mastercard transactions.

5. When you click "show transactions" there is a message that says "no relevant transactions".

6. Everyone was so kind and help was great but just maybe next time think about timing?It does the job, but sometimes it freezes or doesn't start.

7. -------- Update: Someone from the mobile app department emailed me and said that I needed to add " for mobile deposit" on the back of the check.

8. I would have given a 5 star, but sometimes when trying do make a deposit, even though it is in small amounts and the front and back of the checks clear, the deposits get rejected.

9. This is far less efficient than the old app.Wish there was a MEMO field for each transaction on the app like there is on the desktop version so I had an instant record of what each transaction was actually FOR.

10. The app can mess up sometimes, and I have to look up my username and password when the app decides to "forget" them, which is annoying, but otherwise it is great.

11. Was even able to hit a few buttons and make my car payment on a day the bank was closed.The new interface is definitely a step up from the previous.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix 1st Advantage Issues

1. Fix 1st Advantage Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart 1st Advantage: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the 1st Advantage App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "1st Advantage" » Open 1st Advantage Mobile Banking » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for 1st Advantage » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear 1st Advantage Mobile Banking app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from 1st Advantage servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "1st Advantage Mobile Banking" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check 1st Advantage app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, 1st Advantage might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall 1st Advantage. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall 1st Advantage then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing 1st Advantage not working


2. Fix 1st Advantage Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make 1st Advantage be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to 1st Advantage not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, 1st Advantage may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
