Spruce Customer Insights

1. Also would be nice to have the option of signing in with fingerprint scanner as well as password.Most of the time, the app crashes or cannot reconnect to a network, when I am definitely connected I have to force stop the application, everytime I need to use it.

2. Mobile deposit function does not work as shutter button sits over the close app screen button.Too many glitches with trying to log in.

3. It would be nice if at log in it displayed balances of all accounts instead of just one.Awfal. Poor function.

4. When it asks to open in the app or the mobile website, the button for opening the app doesn't open the app at all.

5. I'm not sure if is the fault of the app, but sending transfers takes hours compared to other banks that often send etransfers almost instantly.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Spruce Issues

1. Fix Spruce Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Spruce: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Spruce App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Spruce" » Open Spruce Mobile Banking » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Spruce » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Spruce Mobile Banking app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Spruce servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Spruce Mobile Banking" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Spruce app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Spruce might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Spruce. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Spruce then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Spruce not working


2. Fix Spruce Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Spruce be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Spruce not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Spruce may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
