Why should I report an Issue with Simple Scan - PDF Scanner App?

1. It would be nice if the developer could keep the basic part of the app without ads popping out.I think this is a simple to use and effective PDF document creater, when you want to take a picture of a document with your smart phone and have it saved as a PDF file that can be opened with a PDF viewer / editor on a Mac or PC device.

2. I went into a document, tapped the "import from gallery button" and imported two photos, attempted to crop them but the app kept saying "Image is wrong!" when I tried to continue so I hit the back button to go back to the document.

3. It had great reviews but everytime I tried to scan pages in a batch, it would randomly mess up the format on random pages.

4. I highly recommend Simple Scan and will do so with word-of-mouth as well.Well, this is fantastic! Camscanner is back to being a paid service only, but this app does literally the exact same thing.

5. Instead of locking up more advanced features to paying customers, the developer appears to have decided to serve ads almost to the point that free version is unusable.

6. While it seems to be ad free, I have found that you have an option to "watch ads" to earn points that can be used for sending faxes, and other useful things that are "features" of this app.

1. Fix Simple Scan Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Simple Scan: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Simple Scan App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Simple Scan" » Open Simple Scan - PDF Scanner App » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Simple Scan » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Simple Scan - PDF Scanner App app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Simple Scan servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Simple Scan - PDF Scanner App" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Simple Scan app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Simple Scan might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Simple Scan. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Simple Scan then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Simple Scan not working

2. Fix Simple Scan Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Simple Scan be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Simple Scan not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Simple Scan may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
