ACTi Customer Insights

1. Not a great design choice but it works once you know it.We have had constant issues with our Acti cameras and the app from the start that haven't been resolved in over 6 months.

2. The contact option for the app developers is a bad email link and the website doesn't work anymore.I cannot get it to open on my ten inch tablet I did get the mobile go app to open in Amazon fire tablet.

3. Now I have $3,000 worth of their cameras that I cannot monitor remotely.Just stopped working after version update.

4. So each time you have to re explain an issue that they don't seem to understand....... Again and again.Works on older tablet but immediately crashes upon opening on my new one.

5. Though I am running with the firmware version claimed supported, I tried upgrading firmware and after that it did not even recognize my cameras complaining model unsupported.

6. Good job..What's the latest app update you cannot modify camera settings or see camera information.

7. Was talking to ACTI and they had a case opened since they weren'tsure what was going on, but they just closed my case with no resolution.

8. Customer service throughACTi was useless they say they will help but they do not and when I email and text they don't have any previous correspondence available to their tech ppl.

9. What's with that.Is not working anymore, after the last update.

10. Having issues since 6 monthsI have a 3 location setup n a Galaxy, but only one location works.

11. After their update , site crashes immediately after opening.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix ACTi Issues

1. Fix ACTi Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart ACTi: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the ACTi App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "ACTi" » Open ACTi Mobile Client » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for ACTi » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear ACTi Mobile Client app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from ACTi servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "ACTi Mobile Client" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check ACTi app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, ACTi might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall ACTi. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall ACTi then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing ACTi not working


2. Fix ACTi Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make ACTi be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to ACTi not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, ACTi may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
