Couch to 10K Running Trainer Customer Insights

1. It asks every time I turn the app on and today it even turned off my music and my ability to view C210K as it opened up my browser and redirected me to a registration page.I've been using this app for years now and its been of great use, but in the last few months there's been an issue with the GPS.

2. I see other reviews with the same problem (and please don't tell me it's my lock settings b/c then why did it work fine for the other 2 sessions? I start the app, put the phone in my pocket/band, and leave it there unless it's already stopped working) so I'm hoping it can be fixed.

3. I currently have voice prompts turned off b/c of this, and have sometimes started jogging during cool down b/c I lost track of which lap I was on.EDIT: It has done this for the last 3 runs in a row- and I now realize it's just automatically opening one of the ads for a fitness program in the back half of the run.

4. I actuly upgraded to the 10k version after completing the 5k one- it was that good! Since they switched to a subscription model (exact same app it was like 7 years ago, just more expensive) it just reverted me back to the basic version, which was annoying but whatever, it was only like three dollars stolen.

5. Example: "Begin running for" [music] "90" [music] "seconds." [music] "You are on run" [music] "1" [music] "of" [music] "6." If you want beeps in addition to voice prompts, it adds the same pause/restart around each beep too.

6. But for those of us who simply want a voice to tell us when to run and when to walk, and couldn't care less about "features", well I guess we'll find a different app.I paid for this app in 2016 and it was perfect.

7. -Cleaner voice prompts: Currently if you turn on voice prompts, it pauses/restarts your music for a fraction of a second between every insert in the prompt.

8. If the developers ever decide to eliminate the subscription requirement, I would like to try this app again.I've been using this app on and off for about 2 years and taken by itself it's excellent.

9. Was mid-run and my finger brushed one of the ads on the page, tried closing out of the resulting webpage to get back, couldn't do it and since I couldn't reopen the app, it lost my progress for the day.

10. Reply: I'm sure your hardcore customers who want new features to maximize their workout are really happy with the changes.

11. Before this problem, I would've given the app 4 stars (5 if they could improve the audio prompts as described below) but it's basically unusable in this state.
