1. If it is going to take days to get money transferred & with not the best conversion rate, why not look elsewhere instead!Been using Xoom service for a long time.

2. I will find a better option.The primary purpose of the app is to send money to another country but we have to go through 108 steps to find out what the exhange rate is.

3. If you start off with send money you have to type the recipients complete information in again even though they're in your recipient list.

4. It asks for a reason for sending money, and then I select the amount, and after sliding the "Send now" button, it asks again for the reason to send the money.

5. The App sucks too btw.I've use PayPal and cash app to send money to people in this is by far the worst interface I've ever used.

6. If you want to send money to an existing recipient you need to start on the recipient tab.

7. Not very user-friendly at all! When the transaction is completed the final page just sits there until you press An X which your not sure if it's going to cancel.Hero to Zero: I have been using Xoom for years.

8. I have sent several messages the past year because I keep getting notifications almost daily to pick up money for a cancelled transaction.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Xoom Issues

1. Fix Xoom Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Xoom: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Xoom App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Xoom" » Open Xoom: Send Money & Transfer » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Xoom » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Xoom: Send Money & Transfer app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Xoom servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Xoom: Send Money & Transfer" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Xoom app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Xoom might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Xoom. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Xoom then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Xoom not working


2. Fix Xoom Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Xoom be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Xoom not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Xoom may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
