Sales Customer Insights

1. Can't it be set up where specific templates are downloaded ahead of time, templates are filled out, and then when completed, information is then uploaded upon available WiFiIt's good.

2. Despite making sure notifications are enabled, I'm constantly having to remind folks to manually check the app since none of us ever seem to get notifications.

3. also instead of defaulting a normal Work day time of 7 to 3 in sets the time to crazy hours and has to be edited, taking more time to make entries.

4. You'd think an app that gets visited and viewed multiple times a day would have notifications as reliably as Twitter and Facebook, but I guess not.This app is garbage.

5. It's good interface if someone would update it regularly and take care of the bugsDoes nothing but add unnecessary time and complication to my day.

6. If your service note is over a certain length, it will display a blank box (on mobile).

7. I do a lot of field appointments and sometimes in area's where I am not able to get good reception, if any at all.

8. it needs a field for people to see who is scheduled to be on a job on the front of appointments.

9. certain fields under contacts don't need to be mandatory.Very badly developed.everything feels incomplete and dated.

10. The biggest issue however is the lack of notifications.

11. Worst of all it kills my battery life, now I need to charge several times a day.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Sales Issues

1. Fix Sales Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Sales: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Sales App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Sales" » Open Salesforce Field Service » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Sales » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Salesforce Field Service app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Sales servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Salesforce Field Service" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Sales app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Sales might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Sales. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Sales then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Sales not working


2. Fix Sales Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Sales be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Sales not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Sales may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
