About Salesforce Inbox

1. Powered by Einstein, Inbox uses artificial intelligence to help sales reps sell smarter.

2. It automates time-consuming administrative tasks to increase sales productivity and let sales reps focus on what they do best - closing the deal.

3. Arming users with seamless access to key insights and powerful Salesforce data, critical customer conversations are more meaningful and productive than ever before.

4. Inbox is compatible with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Lightning Platform.

5. The app provides focused context for today’s events and recommends follow-up actions so important opportunities never slip through the cracks.

6. Salesforce Inbox brings email, calendar, and the world’s #1 CRM together in one app.

7. A limited set of Inbox features are also compatible with Salesforce IQ CRM.

Sales Customer Insights

1. As an email tool it's sub-par; swipe gestures sometimes work on the first try, rendering messages containing rich text and graphics is horrible, and attempts to include a sound with notifications is a circular reference between the app and device settings on my Pixel 2XL.

2. I'm going back to Outlook as my primary mobile email app & will use Inbox when I really really need to link a message with a SF record.Good email tracking tool.

3. it doesnt keep track of recent contacts, and doesnt autofill when adding pwople, making it very painful to craft an emaik on the fly to internal pplUnable to relate emails which is my sole requirement of the mobile app.

4. Meanwhile Outlook and nine email continue to be able to send/receive email just fine.

5. Basically use it for 1 feature: email open notifications for Salesforce Inbox.

6. Updates to the lightning chrome extension would be good (being able to use the shortcuts like in legacy inbox chrome extension).

7. More in depth reporting on tracking would be great (open rate, response rate, etc.)Its buggy and missing key features.

8. There's also been times there wouldn't be alerts for hours only for bunches of emails to show up at once.Another poorly-implemented great idea from SF.

9. I wish it was a better more efficient app.this app is missing the polish i would expect from an email app.

10. Has no other useful purpose as email functionality is bare.

11. Emails will sit in the outbox for weeks until customers complain that their orders were not processed.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Sales Issues

1. Fix Sales Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

  1. Restart Sales: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Sales App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Sales" » Open Salesforce Inbox » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Sales » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Salesforce Inbox app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Sales servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Salesforce Inbox" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Sales app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Sales might not work.

  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Sales not working

2. Fix Sales Server issues & Internet Connection

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Sales be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Sales not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Sales may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
