Got an email from tech support and this is the way the app works and nothings wrong you just have to hit the 3 bars or the home square instead of the back arrow and then swipe up on the app in the recently opened screen to close.these guys will fight for you....even if it takes months to resolve an ID theft incident (as it did for me in one case with a fraudulent debt account opened in my name) they won't give up until it is resolved...no prompting required.

2. Idea: Someday I'd like to monitor the freeze status of my 3 credit reports to be aware when security freezes lapse.I downloaded the app and immediately tried to login.

3. Hopefully the developer is working on this.The UI is super clean, the trending credit score is useful to see periodically, and, so far, the monitoring service seems to catch things.

4. There is no option on the screen for "activate account." So far, I can't even get into the app to start using it.Great app! Keeps me protected and informed.

5. Thanks so much.App won't close, New Tab A tablet and Note 20 Ultra both tried backing out via back and tried menu then log out and it takes me back to the blank again log in screen and I can't back out of that or log out, just stuck, log in again and same thing all over again.

7. Not worth using on a cell phone.Company of Thieves, do not bother subscribing.

9. The only issue that I have about the app is whenever I try to add information to be monitored, it loads and doesn't do anything else.

10. Such a hassle to deal with these people who all claim they have no power to cancel my membership unless it's a 30 day pause.

1. Fix IDShield Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart IDShield: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the IDShield App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "IDShield" » Open IDShield: Protect What Matters » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for IDShield » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear IDShield: Protect What Matters app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from IDShield servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "IDShield: Protect What Matters" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check IDShield app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, IDShield might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall IDShield. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall IDShield then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing IDShield not working

2. Fix IDShield Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make IDShield be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to IDShield not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, IDShield may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
