1. My rate started at around $385 and after say maybe 2 years, it's gone up to almost a grand!!! I added my husband to my plan, but neither of us have had any accidents or tickets! Definitely switching before my plan renews.I was a customer for 11 and a half months.
2. Very disappointed.I've had a good experience with Root over the past few years, except for the fact that my rate seems to increase a few hundred dollars to at every 6 mo renewal.
3. I got to the end of the test drive and the app was stuck on "1-2 days left.. there seems to be a problem, contact cx service" I tried calling cs number 3 different times and the automated system seems to be on a loop so I was never able to speak to anyone or get a quote.
4. Frustrating experience.I've had this app for a little while now and my insurance price has doubled with no extra coverage, no extra drivers, no tickets, no accidents.
5. I'm sure they think they're brilliant but these programmers obviously never heard of something called User Experience.I was very very excited to switch to Root insurance about 8 months ago.
6. I noticed the additional amount on my credit card and had to call their customer service to get clarity on the discrepancy with what I was quoted for my premium.
7. It starts you off with a 2-3 week test drive, it's different, but I understand why it's necessary for Root insurance.

9. 0/10 would recommend after that.Beware, hidden fees! I've been a long-time customer & fan of Root but was recently charged a late fee.
10. Customer service reps super friendly but not empowered by their leadership to make things right.
11. After a few months of usage, they raised my rate twice, totaling about $100 dollars more per month.
