1. I figured there would be more common sense in the steps, but I assume the steps are out of order to make you feel invested and like you've spent time already trying to find cheap car insurance.

2. The person assisting me was nice & helpful, hence the three stars.They don't run your records, credit score, etc, until after you've invested time in sending over photos of your vehicle, which could likely significantly hike up the original quote.

3. The person I spoke to helped a lot and did send me my giftcard with no problems.Super convenient and easy, definitely the best experience I've had shopping for insurance.

4. They keep sending me emails promising liability at $59/month, but when I go thru the quotes process, everything is priced way higher (I've literally paid less for full coverage on a new car than what they are quoting me for minimum liability on a 19 year old car).

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Cover Issues

1. Fix Cover Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Cover: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Cover App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Cover" » Open Cover - Insurance in a snap » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Cover » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Cover - Insurance in a snap app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Cover servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Cover - Insurance in a snap" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Cover app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Cover might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Cover. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Cover then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Cover not working


2. Fix Cover Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Cover be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Cover not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Cover may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
