Dave Customer Insights

1. Finally you can have a perfect record with them and you never get an increase over $250 and your advance amount randomly changes for no reasonI have had zero issues with Dave until recently.

2. This is a good app now.Custom tip function at end of advance process seems predatory and misleading.

3. I hate the new way they do the cash advances, the amount you qualify for changes constantly, even though I've been with them for 3 straight years and the fees are going up.

4. It seems slower to update the account balance, and everything that was on 1 page before It's now separated into little menu boxes, click that, and you're sucked into a page with more menu boxes.

5. For context the advance amount used to be the same every time and you had a choice of amounts to choose from.

6. The 2nd thing that is annoying is if your debt card is 3 months out from expiration, they will unlink it and no longer give you access to the cash advance.

7. Now it seems that Dave has fundamentally changed for the worse.It used to be a great app, but then they made all these changes.

Edit after reply: the FAQ that i was directed to had nothing to do with the issue I'm having and their only option for support is a chatbot that apparently can't connect you to a real person and doesn't understand anything outside of it's prompts(Update) change it back, the app I so un-intuitive now.

9. Now it's functionality has gone way down, it's been two weeks and they still haven't verified my account despite being able to transfer their dollar out of it.

10. It wants .e to settle again ! Even though my bank account has been charged.. I submitted a ticket.

11. My bank account was also charged the full amount.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Dave Issues

1. Fix Dave Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

  1. Restart Dave: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Dave App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Dave" » Open Dave - Banking & Cash Advance » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Dave » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Dave - Banking & Cash Advance app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Dave servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Dave - Banking & Cash Advance" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Dave app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Dave might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Dave. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Dave then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Dave not working

2. Fix Dave Server issues & Internet Connection

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Dave be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Dave not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Dave may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • This account has given me issues all around. My first issue was that when I tried to add my girlfriend's account for transfers, they put the account under her name. After reaching out I was told that the account would would be closed. Now I'm unable to access the account to get my statement. Basically...all I need is my bank statement and I can't get it. So I either need the e teller ID to log into evolve back website, or I need access in order to access my statement.
