Comerica Customer Insights

1. This needs to be fixed or im closing my account!Compared to Bank of America's app the iconography and the font of Comerica Banks app makes it looks like it was an app for the iPhone 4 from 2010 just upscaled for modern devices and the UI elements are very inconsistent.

2. If something fails after that, you will never know unless you constantly refresh for the next few days and happen to notice that the deposit never posts...I like the new fingerprint feature for Android, but you made such a big deal about incorporating your new logo into the app, only for your graphic design team to do absolutely nothing with it beyond the login screen.

3. Since logo change, it doesn't fit on the screen proportional to size, looks fake.Yes the app is pretty basic and takes forever to load, but with the new version, it is now obsolete on my Samsung tablet.

4. They seem to be more Apple friendly as at least there you can use biometrics to log in... Not on AndroidUsed to be an okay app for general banking, mainly used for mobile check deposit since I don't live near any branches of the bank.

5. Zero stars if possible.I have been banking with Comerica for a very long time and used to never have an issue with the mobile app.

6. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, restarted my phone, called customer service, and talked to my branch about it and no one has an answer as to why i cant access the app.

7. I've banked with Comerica for many years and have no issues with the banking experience.

8. The problems I have been having are the same as reviews dating back some years, that is, that 8 times out of 10, the message appears that "a systems error has occured.

9. For the past couple months, however, the app freezes when attempting to start a mobile deposit, resulting in force closing the app.

10. For the last 7 months I have not been able to access the app, it keeps telling me that an error has occurred to try again later.

11. Also, Comerica doesn't allow their cards to be loaded to Samsung Pay.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Comerica Issues

1. Fix Comerica Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Comerica: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Comerica App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Comerica" » Open Comerica Mobile Banking® » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Comerica » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Comerica Mobile Banking® app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Comerica servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Comerica Mobile Banking®" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Comerica app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Comerica might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Comerica. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Comerica then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Comerica not working


2. Fix Comerica Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Comerica be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Comerica not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Comerica may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I don't have a complaint. I see that my child support card/ Way2Go card is expiring on 12/23. I am currently waiting on a payment. I do not know how to go about getting a new card. Any info would be appreciated!
