1. Swann "Smart" hub - incident when my home internet was down and I can't disarmed the alarm from Home protect apps and the Siren keep going.

2. Have my live feed back now and it works much better with faster connection speed to my Swann camera.List down this Swann Home Protect and its issue I encounter after purchasing it for a month usage now.

3. Home protect apps - apps itself DO NOT send push notification to my s8/s7 if burglar alarm trigger.

4. Hence, this is serious security breach which means if burglar broke in and trigger the alarm but you have no idea.

5. Swann seems doesn't take security issue seriously.

6. Would have been better if Swann communicated to those still using the older app to change over to this one.

7. I haven't been able to access live feed for months until by chance i downloaded this app which replaced the old one.

8. To solve this is u uninstall the Home protect and reinstall then the push happen for few hour stop again.

9. you only can call put in a report and WAIT for specialist to call you base on their availability which is after several days.

10. There are more but is limit to write hereCan not find way to subscribe to use album view, no information provided.

11. Specialist ask to wait 3 minutes then it will stop WTH.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Home Protect Issues

1. Fix Home Protect Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Home Protect: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Home Protect App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Home Protect" » Open Home Protect » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Home Protect » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Home Protect app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Home Protect servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Home Protect" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Home Protect app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Home Protect might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Home Protect. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Home Protect then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Home Protect not working


2. Fix Home Protect Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Home Protect be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Home Protect not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Home Protect may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
