3. I need to get into the app, help?Today I purchased a new smart phone, Samsung, and Password Protect was easily transferred into the new phone.

4. If it was not for Password Protect, then I would be hinded for access.Pretty good and nicely uncomplicated.

5. IT HAS NO SCREEN PROTECTION, & IT NEEDS AN AUTOMATION FOR PASSWORD INPUT, & IMMEDIATE CLIPBOARD CLEARING, IF IT'S GOING TO USE IT.

6. I chose it because it's similar to (but not as good as) my former 2015 Blackberry Password Keeper.

7. Also, I needed passwords and access codes to activate the phone.

8. It was perfect.IT'S A GOOD APP FOR PRIVACY, BUT IT NEEDS IMPROVEMENT.

10. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but it tells me to go to edit to add security questions which are already setup.

11. IF IT COULD AUTOFILL WITH PLUGIN, THEN IT COULD BE MUCH BETTER, BUT IT'S STILL GOOD FOR CERTAIN STORAGE.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Password Protect Issues

1. Fix Password Protect Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Password Protect: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Password Protect App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Password Protect" » Open Password Protect » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Password Protect » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Password Protect app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Password Protect servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Password Protect" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Password Protect app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Password Protect might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Password Protect. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Password Protect then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Password Protect not working


2. Fix Password Protect Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Password Protect be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Password Protect not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Password Protect may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
