I'm stuck with them for now while I get up & running but I'll be switching in the future & strongly recomend avoiding square products altogether.Review updated on May 16,2023: After the new updated, the app back to the way used to be always connected, it's SUPER GOOD! so I can use the app to charge the credit without any second waiting.
2. The new updated on March 31,2023 it's not good, made the chip reader connection with the Samsung phone need to makes a new connecting every time.
3. But before that, the Chip reader it's always connected, even though that may draining battery power , but it's worth it.Unfortunately, the NFC card payment Function doesn't work.
4. the app decided to update the card reader, it got stuck at 38%, it sat that way for nearly 20 mins, I left to go do things, the screen timed out now it won't pair with the card reader.
5. When they change the interface to a different look last year I believe, the app gets hung and reader won't stay connected.
6. It disconnects the square touchless chip reader.
7. It never took that long to do a card payment...ridiculous! With their rates being some of the highest in the industry and now a complete inconvenience to use, I will be going elsewhere.I have a show TOMORROW, and got out my equipment so I can take sales.
8. Square on the other hand, implements a 20 step process, and it's not available for ALL types of products.
9. Had a square reader since the app was launched.
10. The app and hardware worked great two years ago when I first started using Square POS.
11. Gives me an error stating that the reader is disconnected... Not sure how that is, when the reader is my own phone.
