1. It’s based on an ancient yogic technique called pranayama, which helps practitioners gain control over their breathing. Dr.
2. The 4-7-8 breathing technique is a breathing pattern developed by Dr. Andrew Weil.
3. He also suggests that people avoid doing more than four breath cycles in a row until they have more practice with the technique.
4. Weil recommends using the technique at least twice a day to start seeing the benefits sooner.
5. A person may feel lightheaded after doing this for the first few times.
6. Therefore, it is advisable to try this technique when sitting or lying down to prevent dizziness or falls.
1. In the next version could you add a beep noise at each stage (instead if spoken instructions), a different tone for each stage of the exercise, for when you're doing the breathing with eyes closed.
2. Thank you for making it ad free, even though it would have cost you development time/money 🙏 I also have a suggestion, whilst the voices are nice I do find them a distraction, especially when doing the breathing exercises with my eyes closed.
3. The voice is kind of ruining the moment.Love the app! It is simple, straightforward, and easy to use! No annoying ads to interrupt the breathing and relaxation process.
4. The ability to customize the intervals is appreciated too so one can implement other techniques than just the 4-7-8 but I usually just leave it as is.Breathe Relax & Focus has nature sounds and beeps unlike this where they haven't updated in years and don't listen to feedback.
5. I download different breathing apps just to see if they square up with the canonical version of Dr Weil's technique and none of them do (and yes, it is important).
6. The animation is useful, I would however like the option to have a timer instead/as well.I love this using app to help me focus on my breathing and calm down during a mild to moderate panic attack.
7. A simple yet elegant timer for breathing exercises but I wish there was a sound instead of a voice.
8. The only added feature I may want is the ability to record my own voice and use it for the inhale, hold, exhale vocal cues.
9. So the ability to slow it down, and still have your cues, voice or sound, would be perfect.
10. The only change I would love to see is the addition of being able to set reminder times for when you want to use the app throughout the day.Yet another inaccurate version.
11. Please bring back the original voice in the first version as an option.
