1. What am I missing?I love this app and their customer service! so easy to use and the fact that they only charge $0.20US (plus Stripe fees) per transaction saves me so much more compared to the last app I used which was 1% plus Stripe fees.

2. Doesn't always like US cards that don't have 3d security.Using the Charge For Stripe app, oh my goodness it's been such a game changer for my little business in NZ.

3. First, the ability to add your own logo to the payment page and email and the ability to customise the text within the payment request (you can do this when sending with SMS but not with email).

4. But does work as advertised Edit: ok fine I will put a 5 starUnfortunately the NFC is not working (Samsung Note 8) and the take photo of card option results in an invalid card prompt.

5. However ever since I started using it in a hurry at an event as I needed to take credit cards, tons and tons and tons of $10 transactions from credits cards I've never seen before are ROLLING in.

6. Hopefully they can fix this or let me know what I am doing wrong.Great app, we run a gites, rental home, business and most of the transactions go through our site, but once in a while I need to add a transaction, like st check out, and this app does it very well.

7. I am having so much trouble getting beyond the Connect with Stripe screen using Galaxy S7 Edge.

8. I login to my Stripe account, can see that I am logged (appears at the top of the Connect screen, and yet I never gain access to any other screen.

9. Inputting the card does work but would rather have the option to at least take the photo of the card and capturing the number that way.

10. Also, the ability to 'share' the payment request link once the payment request has been created.

11. And that's an awful lot to risk as a vendor who earns a living collecting mobile credit card payments.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Charge Issues

1. Fix Charge Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Charge: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Charge App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Charge" » Open Charge for Stripe Card Payment » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Charge » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Charge for Stripe Card Payment app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Charge servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Charge for Stripe Card Payment" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Charge app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Charge might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Charge. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Charge then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Charge not working


2. Fix Charge Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Charge be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Charge not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Charge may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
