Group Xpense Customer Insights

1. Great...Its waste of time, app made is good, and easy to operate , but when we download and login in another mobile it doesn't syn, and say link has been sent to your email address, but i haven't received, so many times tried , not syncing, i lost all my data, I also sent email to the app owner but email address is not valid, send share link but doesn't open, calculation is also not proper,I am.using this App for the past.few years.

2. Currently, you can only specify for each individual expense, which is still very useful, but would like to see the option to set ratio when creating participants.I have found this to be a great app for tracking those expenses that you share.

3. It would be great if the expense data could be backed up to any of the cloud storage like google or Dropbox so that it can be recovered when device is changed, I could not trace where the app stores the data on my phone.

4. If we are able to.define the number of shares per member at the member level, it will be really usefull and leas time consuming while addinng each expense entries.

5. But when each member has differemt ehare, in every expense entry, I had to update the number of shares per member.

6. However, when i recently changed my phone, I wanted to transfer all the existing trip expense details to my new phone.

7. Helps my productivity and tracking.Reliable, easy to use, does even more than I initially thought.I use this app a lot during our field trips..Its simple to use and quite uncomplicated.

8. The only thing that is missing is when you create participants, you can't specify the ratio for each participant and keep it the same for all expenses.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Group Xpense Issues

1. Fix Group Xpense Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Group Xpense: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Group Xpense App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Group Xpense" » Open Group Xpense - track & split » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Group Xpense » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Group Xpense - track & split app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Group Xpense servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Group Xpense - track & split" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Group Xpense app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Group Xpense might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Group Xpense. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Group Xpense then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Group Xpense not working


2. Fix Group Xpense Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Group Xpense be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Group Xpense not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Group Xpense may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
