Expense Log Customer Insights

1. It gets annoying.Exactly what I needed! Like most people, I pay expenses from multiple accounts and needed an *EASY* way to track which expenses came from which accounts... And this app is IT! While you can enter income with this app, I am currently only using it to track my expenses and it's fantastic! You can view your data in a multitude of ways using customizable accounts, categories, and optional filters for deeper dives.

2. If you take a photo of your receipt in landscape mode, there's a glitch, and you have to go back and retake it.) But, again, this app is very much worth it.I highly recommend this app for those of you who,at the end of the day (week, month..) want to know where you spent your money.Expense Log is simple, easy, reliable, and isn't bogged down with features that most of us don't use or need.

3. Just a minor suggestion, would be nice for a simple calculator to be incorporated within the app so I don't have to switch between my phone calculator and the app when I want to total up expenses within the same category, but hey, I'm just nitpicking here.

4. And the developer is extremely responsive to questions or concerns! Great app!This is my favorote expense app due to how simple and easy it is to use.

5. Multiple accounts all right but does not have the total on it and of course no detail, so what's the point? Also no details in summary view.

6. One more thing, I have multiple accounts and would appreciate the summary are treated separately, otherwise I'm at a risk of double entry.

7. Doesn't need access to your bank account, but this means you'll have to manually input each expense.

8. Clean layout that's easy to use and non-invasive reminders that help me remember to put in my expenses for the day.

9. Only flaw so far are a few bugs with the major one being the app completely crashes when i try to add an expense that repeats every 2 weeks (monthly works fine).

10. Thanks for treating each review/comment with a sense of uniqueness and attention.Nice presentation but too limited even for simple use.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Expense Log Issues

1. Fix Expense Log Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Expense Log: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Expense Log App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Expense Log" » Open Expense Log » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Expense Log » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Expense Log app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Expense Log servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Expense Log" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Expense Log app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Expense Log might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Expense Log. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Expense Log then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Expense Log not working


2. Fix Expense Log Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Expense Log be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Expense Log not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Expense Log may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
