Why should I report an Issue with Tricount - Split group bills?

Tricount Customer Insights

1. I wish the in app manual input reimbursment was right next to the pay pal option.Tricount is a super app to travel with friends and not having to split each bill or do money transfers every time you pay for something! It doesn't matter who pays for what, as long as you write each payment in the app, at the end of the trip the calculations are clear without headaches! :)The app works well and smoothly, even though there are some maths mistakes in the computations (this should never be the case😅!!) To improve the app and experience I would add some icons, improve the UI, and add the possibility to directly pay the app.

2. You have a simple click that leads you to an option to settle the account via paypal, but in order to input the reimbursment bminside the app, you need to select the expense and then click a menu.

3. This would be implemented by adding you IBAN/PayPal/Card, let the app collect your money (after having asked for the permission), and then let the app redistributing the respective amount to the people involved.

4. Intuitively, I would expect that number to reflect how much a single trip has cost me (meaning outgoing minus incoming transfers) but I still cannot tell what that number means.

5. Also I'd love to be able to set a payment as regular, such as monthly or yearly.The app is well thought out, and easy to use in all aspects except one - reimbursment.

6. Useful for group vacations, splitting house bills with your roommates, and to keep track of everyday lending and borrowing.

7. Unfortunately app doesn't support having multiple payers on an expense, you have to file it as separate inputs.

8. One minor thought: Maybe it would improve clarity if only expenses with a date that's in the past would have an impact on the tricount's balance.

9. Excellent user experience with a complete absence of unwanted emails or necessity to sign up : just plug and play.

10. I'm paying for premium but can't access the premium benefits or even contact customer service because it says I'm not premium also won't even let me try to purchase premium.

11. Premium feature model makes no sense unless you keep long running groups though.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Tricount Issues

1. Fix Tricount Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Tricount: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Tricount App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Tricount" » Open Tricount - Split group bills » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Tricount » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Tricount - Split group bills app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Tricount servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Tricount - Split group bills" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Tricount app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Tricount might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Tricount. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Tricount then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Tricount not working


2. Fix Tricount Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Tricount be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Tricount not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Tricount may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
