1. The technology used by Stress Scan is based on heart rate variability analysis, which is widely recognized in the field of heart rate analysis and autonomic nervous system research.
2. By analyzing the waveform of your heartbeat as measured at the fingertip, StressScan can analyze the balance of your autonomic nervous system and measure your stress level on a stress index of 1 to 100.
3. Just place a finger over the camera for two minutes, and StressScan will analyze changes in your heart rate interval and scientifically measure the level of your mental and physical stress on a scale of 1 to 100.
4. It is medically recognized that the balance of the autonomic nervous system can become disordered through fatigue and other stress, stemming from causes such as work and human relationships.
5. The technology is seeing use even at the cutting edge of stress care, including adoption by the US military to treat post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in soldiers returning from the battlefield, and by NASA for astronaut training and health management.
6. Although heart rate variability analysis technology is not yet generally well known, many medical institutions and companies have taken an interest and are beginning to put it to use.
7. Many of the functions essential to maintaining human health are controlled by the autonomic nervous system.
8. StressScan is intended for use with a camera- and flash-equipped smartphone.
9. An Internet connection is required to use StressScan.
10. It is not usable with devices that do not have a camera and flash.
11. External support for measurement functions is used for complex stress analysis.
1. I compared the results using Samsung Health stress meter ( I use a Note phone which has a heart rate monitor), and they were fairly accurate.
2. I only installed this for fun, don't install this of you want accurate information.Cute design, works great - whether or not your finger gets hot is more about your phone design than the app (my old phone was very hot, my new phone doesn't even get warm).
3. Please consider the first day of the week selection option for the calendar. The ability to use camera for heart rate is very innovative.
4. If there were setting available to set the day off the week from Saturday to Sunday all would be great.Scanner takes 3 minutes and if it thinks your finger moved at all it restart.
5. It wasn't very hot to the touch but after bout 15 sec it was too hot to touch rendering the test not completed.i like the app but dont understand how my heart rate stays in the 90s for most of the time and the randomly drops to 10.
6. It shows different values when taken one after another for me.It's ok, I don't believe this is accurate heart rate at all, and only to use for fun.
7. I had like 5 measurements today already and I look to do my last one and the rest are gone and when I wanted to look at the average it said I had only ever taken 1 measurement.I have a Google pixel 2 that has a finger print scanner.
8. I tested in resting conditions, after exercise, ( where the HRV is minimal, so stress is maximum) and Samsung Health stress results and this app results match perfectly.Ok so I like this app but there are definitely a few things that could be improved.
9. Even the heart rate was accurate to the beat if 2-3 beats per minute.
10. This may not be accurate way to calculate mental stress, but the condition of the heart.
11. Anyways I downloaded this app instead of putting my on the scanner it told me to put on camera which is actually the flash light it somehow recognized my finger.
