1. And most therapists that I've researched prefer to meet virtually anyway.I started using Doctor on Demand about six months ago for mental health issues, and so far it's been pretty good.
2. Pretty much every session we have an issue with the video stopping to work and so we have to switch to a phone call which still works but it's not quite the same when you're trying to do things like EMDR or other exercises where visual is important.
3. If the counselor feels like I might need to be reminded of something, there's a place for notes that I can go back and review information.Patients being able to reliably schedule appointments is a very important part of telemedicine.
4. I'm working with a great therapist and I've been able, in the past, to see doctors for minor urgent issues.
5. I'm not sure how well it would work for physical ailments, but as far as mental health goes it's 100% better than doing nothing! App is easy to navigate with good reminders for appointments.
6. And customer service dared to call it a connection issue when they messaged me two days later. All of my sessions have had great video connectivity.
7. I love my therapist I think she's doing wonderful job I'm very hopeful of where we're going with our sessions.Love the service but the app has glitches that they haven't fixed in months.
8. It doesn't replace seeing providers in person, but as an app, it works great and has been an excellent resource.
9. Regardless of insurance coverage, if tech issues prevent the session from launching, you'll be charged full price and will have to request a refund.
10. I recommend setting alarms using the add to calendar function to avoid missing an appointment.I had an appointment scheduled and the connection was great.
11. For example, you can't book follow ups from the follow up reminder notices or multiple appointments at once from the calendar... it fails and gives you an error notice.
