About One time password (OTP)

1. For more information about the service, visit the website of your bank or read the FAQ in the application. - Full network access – the application needs access to Internet when generating a new OTP code. - Read phone status and identity – due to backward compatibility to older Android versions the application needs access to “phone calls” – this was earlier a standard configuration. - View network connections – is needed to give you feedback on network issues.

1. It's really annoying though, especially while using banking apps, hope it can be fixed!No prompt notifications.After the update, I don't get a pop up notification to use biometrics when an app requires for it.it seems most people are having the same issues.you can't even toggle the notifications on/off in settings because it's not there anymore.I had to reset my phone thinking it will solve the problem but it didn't.Edit: Issue with notifications has been fixed with the latest release.

2. App stops working, freezing and doesn't show codes most of the time! The app is also causing the phone to lag or stop worling all together! SB1 fix your dumb app or go back to code though messages! Cuz this app clearly doesn't work and cause more issues than it solves!Often takes several minutes for the push notifications to come through (if they come at all) and it's impossible to confirm identity without them.

3. not intuitive at all Since a few days my pupup no longer shows and the toggle to turn on notifications is greyed out.a lot of the time notifications are really slow or do not show up until you open the app manually, but then the app closes the request and instead show you the otp selection...It's very convenient when it works, but it crashes regularly and will sometimes take days to start working again.

4. This could be an option in the side menu rather than a pop up every time I'm creating a code.For last three days, I have been trying to get an activation code.

5. This will hopefully be fixed in a future release.Works every time for me, but it seems unnecessary to ask if I want to register fingerprint every time I open the app.

1. Fix One time password (OTP) Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart One time password (OTP): Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the One time password (OTP) App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "One time password (OTP)" » Open One time password (OTP) » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for One time password (OTP) » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear One time password (OTP) app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from One time password (OTP) servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "One time password (OTP)" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check One time password (OTP) app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, One time password (OTP) might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall One time password (OTP). If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall One time password (OTP) then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing One time password (OTP) not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make One time password (OTP) be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to One time password (OTP) not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, One time password (OTP) may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
