Xero Accounting Customer Insights

1. I can view the full Xero app in browser meaning authentication works but phone app doesn't open.I've been using Xero for 4 years, with multiple organisations.

2. Sept 10th update: today's update solved the problem.Used to be good but now they added an overall cash balance section at the top which you have to scroll past every time you use it.

3. Integrates with bank and other apps very easily.When i first installed it, it worked great now it won't let me log in keeps asking for authentication when i authenticate it goes back to log in details.

4. It prompts me to log in with email and password then says it's sent a notification to the phone (I got an email) but then nothing further happens.

5. Not happy, sorting accounts out is stressful enough without have this problem as well.Forces an invasive authenticator app which you have to install aside from the main app.

6. When you go into invoices of bills should be able to see the whole thing not just a truncated version.

7. This issue happens consistently in various geographic locations with trusted internet connections.

8. Can't remove it from showing, pretty pointless considering the next section is bank account balances.

9. Now two days out from EOFY the app stops showing profit to date, I'm out of office and this was critical to decisions.Like so many others here.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Xero Accounting Issues

1. Fix Xero Accounting Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Xero Accounting: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Xero Accounting App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Xero Accounting" » Open Xero Accounting » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Xero Accounting » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Xero Accounting app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Xero Accounting servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Xero Accounting" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Xero Accounting app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Xero Accounting might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Xero Accounting. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Xero Accounting then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Xero Accounting not working


2. Fix Xero Accounting Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Xero Accounting be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Xero Accounting not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Xero Accounting may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
