Xero Me Customer Insights

1. It does some things well (leave, payslips) but has room for improvementit's very lite on info for example when you enter your leave it does calculate the hours so if take annual leave which coincides with the weekend you can't tell if it using annual leave.Issue inputting night shift hours.

2. hate that I can't switch between my different places of employments without logging out.Was good but after last update our staff cannot put start & finish time, even when selected in the settings.

3. If entering total time worked, you cannot enter notes or breaks.

4. When entering times you cannot roll the time with you finger, standard in most clock based apps.

5. On the mobile app start time, end time, and notes can only be entered individually which takes more time.

6. I've been unable to enter nightshift shift times and the system seems designed to auto correct for dayshift hours only.

7. I changed the settings from "duration" to "start/stop times" and it killed the whole timesheet.The browser version does not include all features.

8. Would be great if it accepted over night shifts with the start stop method.does what it's supposed to do.

9. Can't input notes when hours only is selected.doesnt work properly, im sorry but it doesnt.

10. And if you put your phone sideways (e.g portrait to landscape) while typing notes it erases any changes made.

11. Doesn't remember regularly used selected pay rates, always defaults to standard hourly rate.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Xero Me Issues

1. Fix Xero Me Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Xero Me: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Xero Me App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Xero Me" » Open Xero Me » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Xero Me » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Xero Me app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Xero Me servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Xero Me" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Xero Me app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Xero Me might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Xero Me. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Xero Me then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Xero Me not working


2. Fix Xero Me Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Xero Me be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Xero Me not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Xero Me may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
