1. Still haven't found an appealing reason to subscribe to their premium subscription despite using the free trial. It has paused 3 of my runs at the beginning over the course of using it for about 2 months.
2. Good for accurately recording runs using your phone if you don't own a wearable (rather than just trusting your phone with G-fit to record it innacurately), but then it doesn't synch with Health connect, so your runs won't appear on Google Fit.
3. I've been using the Under Armour App for all my running and cycling and never had any issues mapping my route so, I've decided to give Strava a try since everyone brags about it.
4. You can still join challenges and follow people but other than that, premium.Enjoyed it better before they moved most of their features behind their subscription.
5. I can click on a route on the map and not be navigated to random route (which has come to be the expected behavior so much so that I've stopped using them) and I can click on a segment and have it actually be selected.
6. Of course, for others it could be the ability to change shoes, paddles, gloves, or other items people like to keep track of mileage on.
7. Instead of adding new and exciting features for those who subscribe, they decided to place a lot of their "for free" features behind the pay wall.
8. It's a good app, BUT... for the average user who just wants to save a route, download a map, and use it for it's GPS function it's far too expensive so I just use the free version.
9. I'd just as soon calculate the distance I ride over the time it takes me to figure out my speed and cadence (which I've done).
10. 6/2023 All of the useful features that were once free, are now premium.
11. Namely, the ability to select which bike you're riding from the gear list and the ability to select which bike you're riding from the record ride screen.
