Relive Customer Insights

1. This seems unnecessary! Why should it care!!!? I did pick a more recent date, and loved that it could find the relevant pictures off my phone (there's a bug somewhere in the app for selection pics), but showing the video to someone in her 70s told me she couldn't see the pics as they flash by too quick ...Unreliable ... it seems to have trouble maintaining the tracking during my ride/hike.

2. Only thing I really got out of it was a drained phone battery.This app does a great job of representing travel while in motion.

3. It had to be set to always track (versus only when app is in use) because for some reason when the phone went to sleep it stopped tracking otherwise.

4. It needs to be allowed all the time, or it will stop tracking when your phone is in standby.

5. Why can't Relive faithfully replay my event?Excellent adventure composition, tracking, editing, made simple, easy to do.

6. When I remember a cycle tour or a hike with friends I want to be reminded of the places we lingered to see a view or share a snack.

7. BUT, After a lot of back and forth with the authors (they were very responsive) and some testing on betas with them, the latest version where you can prevent the phone from sleeping is the best of both worlds.

8. The first thing i tried to do was look back at some of my old routes, so i picked my birthday, and it doesn't allow imports of more than 30 days ago.

9. About half the time when I get to the end of my hike I find that it has quit recording in the middle of the hike with no explanation.

10. This thing has huge potential...... but!!!!Free version doesn't have much functionality.

11. When I analyze a randonneur event I want to see how long I stopped, where I lost time.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Relive Issues

1. Fix Relive Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Relive: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Relive App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Relive" » Open Relive: Run, Ride, Hike & more » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Relive » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Relive: Run, Ride, Hike & more app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Relive servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Relive: Run, Ride, Hike & more" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Relive app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Relive might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Relive. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Relive then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Relive not working


2. Fix Relive Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Relive be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Relive not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Relive may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

Reported Issues

Note: Issues displayed have already been sent to the developer and are older than 7 days.

  • Relive app has not been recording since subscription,so I read that you delete app then re-download app & it should clear ,re-set & hopefully work.
    12 month subscription was deleted & I’ve accidentally subscribed again for 1 month & lost the 12 month subscription.
    Can this be sorted out please
