1. Apparently we have to add the code to the end if the password when we login, but this critical information is not shared! I had to contact the helpdesk to figure out this unusual way of entering 2FA.Been using it for a couple of weeks, no issues.
2. The app is absolutely useless.2FA is a good way not to get your money stolen, but this is a crusty old app which hasn't been updated to the most recent versions of Android, and that you append the code to the password is ludicrous.
3. Not only is there no recovery option other than contacting IG, but upon re-instating, all I get is "an Internal Error has occurred with error code: -4500." Entering the codes via the manual option also does not work.
4. There should be support for authenticator apps plus the ability for it to remember the device.I was wondering why an authenticator app could be rated this lowly.
5. I want 2FA, but at this cost I'm just better off switching brokers! You could really have executed this a bit better.....i..e. trusted device? Maybe have an integration into the Google Authenticator app instead of trying to DIY everything.
6. I've 18 live trades which I cannot access and I cannot even get through to IG support on the phone, I have been trying on the phone the whole day.
7. Even using a new device from my side and still will not fix my 2FA issue.Useless. Now I can't even log into my account because my username is not recognised all of a sudden.
8. I look forward to understanding if I will be able to login again in a couple of days, and if this app will suffer from amnesia as other users stated.
9. This is the worse 2FA experience I've come across!I can't fathom why IG cannot use one of the public authenticators and insist on using this.
10. *EDIT* 2 Weeks on and multiple emails & phone calls between 2 different helpdesks and still no resolution.
11. Today however I was met with an "account locked" notice and I was forced to reset my password.
