1. However, the notes don't always save after I click on the widget or open from running apps (not sure which is causing the problem because I do both), type something on a pre-existing note, then go to the home screen.

2. Be careful though; notes can easily get lost in the shuffle; make sure you tag or pin them.I've used the app for a few years now and really loved it mostly because it will always be linked to my Google account and I'll never lose a note again.

1. Fix Google Keep Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Google Keep: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Google Keep App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Google Keep" » Open Google Keep - Notes and Lists » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Google Keep » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Google Keep - Notes and Lists app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Google Keep servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Google Keep - Notes and Lists" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Google Keep app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Google Keep might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Google Keep. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Google Keep then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Google Keep not working

2. Fix Google Keep Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Google Keep be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Google Keep not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Google Keep may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
