1. Track it on the map in real-time and never miss a ride again. • Easily save your frequently used lines, stops, and stations, and access them quickly for a hassle-free commute. • Stay informed of any trip changes with optional alerts that notify you of delays or disruptions. • Enjoy personalized smart alerts that learn your preferred trips and proactively check for service changes before you leave.
2. The official all-in-one-app for MTA’s subways, buses, and commuter railroads (Long Island Rail Road and Metro-North). • A map-based interface that simplifies trip planning and makes getting around a breeze. • Reliable real-time information from the MTA, with a new Status tab to quickly see on any service issues. • Wondering where your bus is?
3. The MTA app is built for our riders, with our riders.
4. We update the app regularly based on your feedback.
1. Also, if the usability of time selection can be improved or a confirmation can be added before submitting, someone was helping her to set up a trip while I was away and scheduled for 2 AM ...What's the point of having favorite stops and buses? You save your stop and buses and it doesn't show up in the list of favorite.
2. It's tedious and confusing to check the status of a specific line or station unless you have that exact combination of station and line saved in your favorites (even then, it's not easy to navigate).
3. And the bus time estimates are NEVER right, not even close. This is for Access-A-Ride functionality, I use the app to schedule trips for my Mom, unable to find an option to request "Call out and assist." She is legally blind and unable to see the type or plate of the car.
4. Why does the map zoom out to the whole earth? Are there NYCT stations in Mogadishu? A simple NYC area map and GIS shapefile of stations, bus stops, and lines is all that is needed.
5. There should be at the very least a list of every line and another list of every station to check the status (both planned and unplanned service changes) and next arrivals.
6. Had to print this out for myself, yet buses in particular will still go as they wish....The more I try to use it, the less reliable it becomes and I switch to Google map.If it ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT! When it was Subwaytime and bustime app it was the golden age.
7. I put the wrong time on the return trip (AM instead of PM) which it didn't alert me to.
8. Annoying! I'm ok with the interface but they'll need to make a few updates for me to give a higher rating.Easy to use and navigate are the only advantages as of now.
9. That caused me to schedule a trip with the wrong address, which I had to cancel to start over.
10. Taking out bus schedules from the bus waiting area makes it extremely inconvenient to look up for the time of the next bus.
11. The data is fresh from the MTA and aggregated by stop/station, which makes it superior to Google Maps.
