Why should I report an Issue with MTA TrainTime?

1. The TrainTime app provides a one-stop shop for Long Island Rail Road and Metro-North Railroad customers, where riders can buy and use tickets, plan their trips, track their trains, and more. • Buy tickets with Google Pay or credit/debit card.

2. Split payment between two cards. • Plan trips with departure times and transfer details before you travel.

3. You can also search for two origin and/or two destination stations at once.

Would be great if it had some additional functioanlity though (for example, the ability to report problems on the train, the ability to give general feedback, the ability to eclare a lost item and associate it with a specific train, etc).it's soooo much easier, faster and simple, to use the TrainTime app, and follow the rules and suggestions.

2. If this bug did not exist, I would give 5 stars.It does what it needs to do in terms o accurately communicating up to date information regarding train times between origin point and destination, and in terms of allowing purchases of tickets.

3. 2) The conductors need to be told that there is a problem and that looking at the history to tell when a ticket is activated is the appropriate thing to do until the app is fixed.

4. A really great feature is that you can look up the schedule for your trip and there's a button that allows you to buy/activate the correct tickets right from there, rather than having to switch apps and remember which tickets you need.

5. Both times I could go into the ticket history to show the conductor that I had only just activated the ticket, but both times it took several minutes to convince them that I didn't need to buy/activate a new ticket.

6. I don't like the crowded lines nor the rush to find the right ticket and train at the last minute.

7. If you report the issue to your bank, MTA will block the eTix account until a manager gets back to you (it takes a long time to hear back).

8. 5 stars.☆☆☆☆☆It's a basic train app combining the ease of purchasing e-tickets and providing an up-to-date train schedule and notices.

9. Each time the ticket only showed being active for about one minute.

10. After activating a ticket, it is shown with the usual activated ticket window.

11. Being able to get your tickets and check the schedules all in the same app is so much more convenient, and the user interface is quick and intuitive for the most part.

1. Fix MTA TrainTime Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart MTA TrainTime: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the MTA TrainTime App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "MTA TrainTime" » Open MTA TrainTime » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for MTA TrainTime » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear MTA TrainTime app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from MTA TrainTime servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "MTA TrainTime" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check MTA TrainTime app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, MTA TrainTime might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall MTA TrainTime. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall MTA TrainTime then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing MTA TrainTime not working

2. Fix MTA TrainTime Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make MTA TrainTime be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to MTA TrainTime not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, MTA TrainTime may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
